WASHINGTON, April 1, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- EZ-EV and Exelon will be the title sponsor of The Washington Auto Show's first-ever Electric Drive Experience, EZ-EV Founder & CEO Michael Kurzeja and Washington Auto Show President and CEO John O'Donnell announced today.
The electric vehicle (EV) test drive program is a new addition to the long-running auto show. It offers indoor and outdoor test tracks where consumers can experience the performance and handling of one of several types of electric vehicles.
"EVs represent the future of transportation in the United States," said Kurzeja. "We are excited to team up with the Washington Auto Show to help more DC, Maryland and Virginia drivers get behind the wheel and experience them."
EZ-EV makes the switch to EVs easy by providing consumers with the information they need to choose the right car for them. A subsidiary of Exelon, the nation's leading clean power provider, EZ-EV puts information about vehicle options, charging stations and even government incentives all at drivers' fingertips.
The Electric Drive Experience Presented by EZ-EV and Exelon will run through the entire show, from April 5 to April 14, 2019. In addition to the EV test drive experiences, there will be information on home charging stations and how to find and use public EV charging facilities.
"As one of the top five auto shows in the United States, we are proud to partner with businesses that recognize the importance of EVs to both the future of transportation and the environment," said O'Donnell. "The Electric Drive Experience is an example of the innovative programs the show has become known for, here in the nation's Capital, and we are grateful to have Exelon and EZ-EV's support in bringing this opportunity to our guests."
